The 14th Apostle living in Sri Lanka declares!
“Even though the Holy Bible does not contain the complete biography of our Lord Jesus Christ, yet we could observe from the writings of the four Evangelists, that before the arrival of Christ our Lord which is before His birth, the Prophets had proclaimed beforehand that this Jesus Christ or this Saviour would be born into the world from the womb of a virgin.”
His Holiness the Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso declared the above on Sunday, 7th February 2021 in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine. Addressing the assembled devotees, His Holiness The Apostle further said the following in His Homily which He delivered at the Festive High Mass which was held to commemorate the completion of 46th anniversary of His consecration to the Most Sacred Apostleship.
“While the people of Israel were expecting the arrival of a Saviour, these prophets or the people who had special wisdom of telling what would happen in the future had foretold the various events which will happen after the birth of Jesus Christ and up until His death. It was because of this intention, God beforehand declared through the Prophets about the expected Saviour."
His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso was called to the Apostolic status by Jesus Christ Himself. No one can attain the Apostolic status through self-effort in hard-working or studying. Apostolic status is not a degree that can be obtained from any university.
This Most Sacred Apostolic status is a divine status, granted by Jesus Christ Himself at His own discretion. Jesus Christ, who was highly revered by the majority of the people of today’s world lived in the country called Israel in this world for thirty-three years and was crucified by the rulers of that country and the priests of Judaism. Afterward, He rose from the death to live in the same land for forty days and then ascended into Heaven in front of the people.
When Jesus Christ was living in the land of Israel, twelve people were chosen for this Apostolic status. They were all Jews. Then, after His ascension to Heaven, an astonishing event took place in which Christ appeared again in this world and granted the Apostolic status to a Jewish man named Saul. Saul was the first Apostle who was chosen by Jesus Christ, who came from Heaven and appeared in this world when He was no longer alive in this world. Saul later changed his name to Paul and joined the service of the Lord Jesus as an Apostle.
More than a thousand years after this event, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso was chosen as the second Apostle of the world by Lord Jesus Christ, who once again made His appearance in this world in person. The anniversary Holy Mass, which was celebrated to commemorate the completion of 46 years of His Most Sacred Apostolic status, was celebrated on 7th February 2021. His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, the first and only Sri Lankan who was consecrated as an Apostle by the appearance of Jesus Christ, still lives at Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine in Sri Lanka.
Addressing the gathering of devotees, His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso stated the following:
"The God almighty, through the Prophets may have expressed the things going to happen beforehand in order to make it easier for the people of Israel to identify the Saviour correctly since they were expecting the arrival of the Saviour."
"All of these are stated in the Holy Bible, which I can read, and you too can read. The various events that were foretold by the Prophets, which were referred to in the writings of evangelists Saint Matthew, Saint Mark, Saint Luke, and Saint John, took place in the life of Jesus Christ after He came into the world.”
Devotees from various parts of the country gathered in the Apparition Church of Our Lady of Katunayake’s Shrine and in the Shrine Ground. His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso, who was dressed in red colour vestments, stated as follows addressing the gathering.
“The words of the Prophets about Jesus Christ were quoted by all four Evangelists, perhaps because they wanted to inform us that those things had been fulfilled in the life of Lord Jesus, as foretold by the prophets. If not, I think because of another reason. That is, it may have been written to inform us that, even though the things that were said by the Prophets are getting fulfilled, these people had no wisdom and intelligence to recognize Lord Jesus Christ. If not, it may be due to both of these reasons.”
At the anniversary Holy Mass, celebrated to commemorate the completion of 46 years of the Most Sacred Apostolic status, a large number of devotees made the offerings to His Holiness The Apostle Rohan Lalith Aponso (See photos)
